The ECXR is designed around long-range off-grid touring. Larger battery capacity, expanded solar systems, increased water storage and advanced monitoring systems allow the platform to comfortably support extended remote travel. Rather than simply increasing system size, the ECXR focuses on efficient integration and real-world usability, ensuring the caravan remains practical and reliable while operating independently for longer periods away from powered sites.

With its expanded systems and premium inclusions, the ECXR is aimed at customers travelling longer and carrying greater onboard capacity. This naturally increases tare mass compared to the ECX platform, making the ECXR best suited to larger tow vehicles including American pickups and vehicles with upgraded towing and GVM capabilities. The result is a caravan platform designed for customers prioritising touring autonomy, capability and comfort over minimal weight targets.

The ECXR incorporates a revised chassis configuration featuring a 50mm chassis riser to increase ground clearance and improve off-road capability. Combined with the Cruisemaster ATX airbag suspension system, this provides greater adjustability, ride refinement and terrain adaptability across varying touring conditions. This upgraded platform supports the larger touring focus of the ECXR while maintaining towing stability and structural integrity.

The ECXR introduces a higher level of touring comfort through refined interior finishes, increased appliance capability and upgraded touring systems. Features such as diesel heating & hot water combi systems, larger refrigeration capacity and premium interior schemes create a more comfortable living environment for extended travel. The platform is designed to feel more residential and self-sufficient while remaining purpose-built for off-road touring conditions.

Extended remote touring places greater importance on water storage and water quality management. The ECXR increases total water capacity to approximately 320 litres while also incorporating UV sterilisation systems to improve water usability and reduce reliance on carrying excessive quantities of drinking water separately. This creates a more efficient and practical touring setup for long-distance off-grid travel.

The ECXR was developed for customers wanting fewer limitations while travelling.
