The Octane exists to provide a more balanced and confidence-inspiring towing experience compared to traditional Haulers. Rather than building around maximum size and specification, the platform was designed around centre of gravity, weight distribution and suspension integration from the outset in combination with your payload. This approach improves stability, predictability and handling across varying road conditions, particularly in off-road environments. Combined with the in-house engineered chassis and Cruisemaster XTF Airbag Suspension or ATX airbag, the Octane delivers a towing experience that feels controlled and practical for extended touring.

The Octane models continue the Elross philosophy of practical off-grid touring capability through integrated lithium battery systems, solar charging, water management and efficient appliance selection. The platform is designed to support extended travel while also accommodating the additional power and storage demands often associated with active touring lifestyles.

The ECX and ECX-R Octane platforms were developed for travellers, Racing Families and Race teams - wanting the capability & Luxury of an off-road caravan combined with the flexibility to carry adventure equipment, motorcycles, e-bikes, quads, Go-Karts or additional touring gear. Rather than compromising living space or overloading tow vehicles with trailers and external carriers, the Octane integrates storage, usability and touring comfort into a single engineered platform designed for active Australian lifestyles.

The Octane Hauler system was developed to provide a practical and secure solution for carrying motorcycles, e-bikes, Karts, recovery equipment, generators and adventure gear without compromising the touring comfort expected from an Elross caravan. Every aspect of the rear hauler platform has been engineered around usability, durability and real-world touring practicality.
The Octane rear door system has been designed to allow easy operation by a single person. Using concealed Lippert spring-assisted hinge technology, the door weight is effectively managed throughout the opening and closing process, reducing effort and improving safety.
Single Person Operation
Transporting valuable equipment requires confidence. The Octane incorporates reinforced tie-down points engineered directly into the hauler structure to securely restrain motorcycles, e-bikes and other equipment during transport.
Heavy Duty Tie Down Systems
The rear hauler area can be configured to suit individual travel requirements. Different platform lengths, storage capacities and loading arrangements allow the Octane to be tailored around the customer's lifestyle rather than forcing the customer to adapt to a fixed design.
